TikTok recently launched Flip Stories, a new feature that allows creators to add a second side to every story, which viewers can unlock with a flip. Here’s what you should know about this storytelling tool.
What are Flip Stories?
Flip Stories gives you and your business more opportunities to engage with your audience, current customers, and potential customers. Adding a second segment to your story lets you draw people in with sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes snippets, special announcements, prize giveaways, and more. When done consistently, this can pique a potential customer’s interest or keep a current customer returning for more.
How Do Flip Stories Work?
Using Flip Stories is easy. Simply take the following steps:
Use the plus (+) button to access the Create Page platform and toggle over to Story (you can also use the + button on your profile photo)
Choose to use content from your Create Page platform or your device (Flip Stories only works for image uploads)
View your image using the Hold to Flip button, which will play your content for a couple of seconds
Use TikTok’s analytics to view how many members of your audience are viewing your Flip Story
Like all TikTok videos, each Flip Story is subject to a moderation process to ensure appropriate content.
What’s the Benefit of Flip Stories?
The most significant benefit of adding a Flip Story is that it expands storytelling, taking it to new levels. This gives creators, artists, marketers, musicians, influencers, and business owners more power to control their content and engage their audience. Ultimately, Flip Stories enables greater self-expression, leading to more connections and, ideally, more profits.
